It was an emotionally surcharged atmosphere at Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School as the students of JTGJS bid farewell to three of its most valued and dedicated teachers—Ms. Rati Asthana, Ms. Swati Asthana, and Ms. Madhu Wig—as they step into their well-earned retirement.
JTGJS owes immense gratitude to these remarkable educators for their ceaseless efforts, dedication, and invaluable contributions to the school.
The warm morning of 7th March saw the entire school coming together for a special farewell assembly to honor their outgoing teachers.
The event was beautifully compered by Arunica Bhattacharya, a student of Class 11D. The farewell function began with a soulful welcome song, followed by the presentation of bouquets and handmade cards from the students across Primary, Secondary, and Senior Secondary sections as tokens of love and appreciation.
The students from different classes expressed their gratitude and admiration through heartfelt speeches, reminiscing about the profound impact these teachers had on their lives. The retiring teachers, deeply touched, also shared their emotions and reflections on this special occasion.
The Principal, Ms. Sushmita Kanungo, acknowledged their selfless service, unwavering sincerity, and dedication, highlighting their over 33 years of invaluable contributions to the school.
In their farewell address, Ms. Rati Asthana, Ms. Swati Asthana, and Ms. Madhu Wig fondly reminisced about their 35 years of teaching in this glorious institution, expressing their deep love and gratitude towards the school and the students.They also shared the unforgettable memories which they created here with the students and their colleagues and which will be cherished forever.
