Bagless Day Observed for Classes VI–VIII in Accordance with CBSE Guidelines
In accordance with the CBSE Bagless Day initiative, Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School, Prayagraj, under the leadership of its Principal, Mrs. Dolly Banerjee, organised a range of experiential learning activities for the students of Classes VI to VIII on 4 July 2026. The programme was efficiently planned and coordinated by Mrs. Smita Samaddar, Coordinator (Middle Section), whose guidance ensured the smooth and successful conduct of the day's activities.
The day commenced with a refreshing Yoga session for all students. Bagless Day Observed for Classes VI–VIII in Accordance with CBSE Guidelines Vedic Mathematics session, where students explored quick calculation techniques that enhanced their mental arithmetic and logical reasoning skills. Class VII, under the guidance of their class teacher, enthusiastically took part in the Best Out of Waste activity organised by the Eco Club, transforming discarded materials into creative and useful craft items, thereby promoting innovation, sustainability, and environmental awareness.
Class VIII, under the guidance of their class teacher, participated in the Colour-Coordinated Regional Cuisine activity, presenting a vibrant display of regional Indian dishes arranged according to different colour themes. Students confidently shared information about the origin, ingredients, nutritional value, and cultural significance of the dishes, celebrating India's rich culinary heritage while fostering creativity, teamwork, and healthy eating habits.
The Bagless Day proved to be an enriching and enjoyable learning experience, reflecting the vision of CBSE and NEP 2020 by promoting experiential learning and the holistic development of confident, creative, and responsible learners.
