Classroom Management and Learning Beyond the Books
A one day workshop was organised at Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School on 27th June 2026, under the able guidance of Principal, Mrs. Dolly Banerjee with the objective of promoting critical thinking, creativity, innovative and experiential learning methods to meet current teaching challenges, requirements, innovation and modern technological needs.
Teachers of all sections - Primary, secondary and senior secondary of all subjects, participated with great zeal and enthusiasm in this workshop.
Mrs. Shalini Barman, Principal, Aryan Petals School, Varanasi, was the main speaker and the resource person of this workshop. She apprised the teachers, that education is not only limited to text books, but mediums like libraries, digital resources, arts, sports, project work, nature visits and community participation also make the learning process more effective, interesting and beneficial for students.
Some interesting and engaging activities were included in the workshop to captivate the audience and arouse their curiosity and motivated them to participate wholeheartedly. The various activities gave the teachers many novel ideas to make classroom teaching interesting, engrossing and helpful for students. Various techniques were discussed to arouse the curiosity of students and also quench their thirst for knowledge.
The workshop was attended by both the coordinators - Ms. Rupa Mitra (Senior section) and Ms. Smita Samaddar (Primary and middle section)
The session concluded with the resource person expressing her gratitude to all the participants and she also emphasized that such workshops go a long way in inculcating new teaching techniques and play a vital role in honing the skills of teachers, updating teachers with latest teaching methodologies and practices, upgrading their teaching standards for the betterment of their students and also uplifting the reputation of their respective institution.
