"Everything comes to us that belongs to us if we create the capacity to receive it."
Rabindra Jayanti was celebrated with great enthusiasm and reverence at Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School on May 9, 2025, marking the 164th birth anniversary of the legendary poet, philosopher, and Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore.
Our children, along with their teachers, participated in the Prabhat Pheri at Tagore Town Golpark. The special assembly program was prepared and organized by the students of class 8. At the beginning, a speech was delivered by the students on the life of Rabindranath Tagore and his remarkable contributions in the fields of literature and education, followed by a cultural program that included a performance by the school choir, which presented a Rabindra Sangeet "Praano Bhoriye trisha Horiye" and a dance performance by the students on the song "Phule Phule Dhole Dhole."
The assembly stage was beautifully decorated with quotes and posters depicting Tagore's life and achievements by the art club members of the school.
Our Principal ma'am Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo in her speech, emphasized on the importance of Tagore's values in today’s world and encouraged students to draw inspiration from his life.
The celebration served as a meaningful reminder of Tagore’s timeless legacy and instilled a sense of pride and admiration for Indian culture and literature among the students.
