The Investiture Ceremony is not merely a formal event, but a transformative experience. It marks the dawn of a new era, where young minds are entrusted with the mantle of leadership. On a resplendent morning of 03rd August, 2024, Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School held its Investiture Ceremony for the session 2024-25 with utmost grandeur and splendour. This august event, imbued with tradition and anticipation, witnessed the formal induction of our newly elected Students’ Council. The newly elected cabinet of the school sworn in to their respective posts and pledged to dispense their duties to the best of their abilities while abiding by the rules and regulations of the school.
The ceremony was graced by the presence of the venerated Guests, Shri R.S. Bedi , the Head of Mayo Hall , the Vice President of Uttar Pradesh Basketball Association and also the Chairman Selection Committee, Uttar Pradesh Basketball Association and Shri Ashish Kumar Dwivedi , a veteran International Chess Player & the Secretary of District Chess Sports’ Association, Prayagraj. He is also the elected Councilor of George Town , Prayagraj .
Amongst the other dignitaries present were Mr. Pradeep Mukherjee , the President, Jagat Taran Education Society, Mr. Sanjeev Chanda, the Secretary , Shri Shankar Chatterjee, the treasurer, JTES.
The ceremony commenced with the invocation of divine benediction of Goddess Saraswati & Lord Ganesha, invoking celestial grace upon the proceedings . Shri Pradeep Mukherjee, the President, JTES welcomed the guests and thanked them for taking out taking out time from their busy schedules to motivate and inspire the newly elected council. Shri Mukherjee told the students that winning means doing better than what one has done before. He also said that the best way to predict one’s future is to create it. This was followed by the felicitation of the Distinguished Guests by the President , the Secretary and the school Principal. The school anthem was sung by the school choir reflecting the values and virtues of the school.
The newly elected council members marched with utmost precision towards the stage holding the values and pride of their respective houses and clubs. In this Investiture Ceremony, Sanchit Chanda ascended to the pinnacle of school leadership and became the Head Boy and Sakshi Srivastava became the Head Girl.
The air crackled with an electric aura as the newly appointed prefects, resplendent in their regalia, ascended the dais. Each was invested with the insignia of their respective office, a symbolic conferment of authority and responsibility
The ceremony was highly successful in a crescendo of applause as the newly appointed Head Boy and Head Girl delivered their inaugural addresses. Their articulate and inspiring speeches resonated with the audience, instilling a sense of optimism and anticipation for the academic year ahead.
The students' council took the pledge to hold the school motto of Loyalty, Truth and Honor in high esteem.

Shri R.S. Bedi , in his speech emphasized on the role of school in shaping up the children to become an asset to the society. He also urged the parents to let the students explore their potential in the field of sports and advised the students to keep working hard to achieve their goals.
Shri Ashish Dwivedi gave his valuable message to the leaders impressing on the fact that a leader’s job is not to create followers but to create leaders. She also said that the kind of platform that a school provides helps to nurture the qualities in the students and makes them better individuals.
Vote of Thanks was proposed by the school Principal Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo. The Principal , in an erudite address, exhorted the newly inducted leaders to embrace their roles with zeal and dedication. She underscored the significance of leadership as a catalyst for positive change, emphasizing the importance of service, integrity, and empathy.
As the ceremony drew to a close, it left an indelible imprint on the hearts and minds of all present, a testament to the enduring spirit of our institution. The programme was beautifully compered by Stuti Singh of class 11 and Jyoti Singh of class 10.
The ceremony culminated with the National Anthem and a group photo session was done in the end with some lighter moments that etched ever lasting memories.
