’51st Annual Day Celebration of Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School, Prayagraj held on 26th November, 2023.’
The school was honoured with the benign presence of Shri. Lalit Kumar Kapil, R.O, C.B.S.E, Regional Office, Prayagraj as the Chief Guest as well as several distinguished guests. The school invited all the students and their parents to the function, which began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the esteemed dignitaries. It was followed by the felicitation of the Chief Guest. The program commenced with a Ganesh Vandana followed by the School Anthem. The President of Jagat Taran Education Society, Mr. Pradeep Mukherjee addressed the gathering with his welcome speech.
In the first half of the program, the students from Pre- Primary entertained everyone with their beautiful dance performance. Thereafter, the students from the secondary and senior secondary section presented their energetic ‘Aerobics’ that combined rhythmic aerobic exercise with stretching and strength training routines with the goal of improving all elements of fitness. This powerful performance was followed by a soothing Bengali dance performance.
Afterwards, The Annual Report of the school was presented by the Principal, Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School, Mrs Sushmita Kanungo. Soon after that, the students of the middle section presented a mime on the theme to showcase the life of the farmers and the hardships they go through. This mind blowing performance got a standing ovation and much praise from the audience. The program was then followed by another energetic dance performance by the students of the primary section displayed the life of a joker.
The Annual Day celebration also brought the proud moment to felicitate two of its teachers Mrs. Sapna Mukherjee (Retd.) and Mrs Ankita Lahiri who have come up with new age carrom board to help students easily understand the basic concepts of mathematics especially by studying through online medium.
The program continued with the launch of the school magazine along with a grand firework. The gathering was addressed by the Chief Guest Shri Lalit Kumar Kapil who appreciated the efforts of the students, teachers, parents who were involved to make the event a grand success.
The second half of the program continued with a Hindi natak named ‘Swarg mein ek seat khali hai’. It was then followed by ‘Tableau presentation’ by all the four houses of the school showcasing the cultures, traditions and famous monuments of various States. After the Tableau presentation, Maharashtra’s folk dance ‘Gondhal’ was performed, which mesmerized everyone. The parents kept clapping for the children who were performing on the stage. The students of the middle section presented ‘Qawwali’ which got a lot of appreciation from the audience . Thereafter, the house championship trophy was presented; followed by the vote of thanks given by Mrs. Shubra Ghosh. The day’s events came to an end with National Anthem.
