With an emotional and heavy heart but infused with hope and aspiration for the bright future of its students, Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School hosted the farewell ceremony for Class XII (Batch 2023- 24) on Saturday in its Rabindralaya Auditorium on 03 February, 2024 . This event was planned to bid goodbye to the senior-most students of the school as they step out into this big world from the sheltered life of school. The event was an enthusiastic and sentimental in which Class XI played the perfect host to the Farewell for Class XII. The day was a fiesta devoted to the years spent together with friends and teachers, to reminisce about joyous moments.
The seniors gathered in the school in their marvellous traditional attires, gorgeous saris and debonair suits and hearts full of nostalgic memories was a feast to behold. The auditorium was adorned with flowers, garlands and decorations keeping in mind the theme for the farewell. Students of 11th class organized the farewell party with great enthusiasm and of course endeavoured to leave a trail of nostalgia behind for the twelfth class.
The ceremony commenced with the Saraswati Vandana and proceeded with kaleidoscopic activities encompassing medley of songs, foot-tapping dance performed by students of class 11 and enthralling games along with a video depicting the long and rich journey of the outgoing class, making the event momentous for all.
The seniors were adjudged with several awards and accolades for their outstanding performances in myriad categories.
The school Principal Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo warmly greeted the children and conveyed her blessings to the seniors. She affirmed her faith that the students will carry on the legacy of the school and will contribute to their nation as the nation builders.
The much-anticipated moment was the declaration of Mr. and Ms. JTGJS. The expert panel of Judges put up a question to the top 10 finalists to which the students answered confidently.
The Titles of Mr. JTGJS and Ms. JTGJS were bagged by Abhishek Srivastava and Kritika Mukherjee.
The event culminated with the National Anthem and the class group photography with genuine smiles on each face as everyone recalled their cherished moments spent in school. The aura of nostalgia this farewell brought will always be there as the students take a step on their journey ahead.
