NATIONAL UNITY DAY 31st October 2023
The government of India in 2014 declared the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as `Rashtriya Ekta Diwas`. The day celebrates India`s unity and pays tribute to Patel`s efforts to keep the country united.
Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the first home minister and Deputy Prime Minister of independent India, was born on October 31, 1875, and his birth anniversary is celebrated as National Unity Day in India. He is credited for the merger of over 560 princely states into the Union of India post-independence.
To mark this day J T Golden Jubilee School Prayagraj organised various activities
A special assembly was held and a speech was presented by one of the teachers highlighting the contributions made by Sardar Patel.
Run for Unity was also organised and students participated with great enthusiasm.
The students took the pledge to keep their nation united.
Students of classes 5 to 12 presented their speech on this occasion.
