Independence Day, 2023

The essence of patriotic feelings and power of integration was revived when Jagat Taran Golden
Jubilee School celebrated the 77th Independence Day or Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav with great
splendour, patriotic fervor and respect for Mother India, on 15th August, 2023 at its premises with
the staff and students. The celebrations to mark this day commenced with the hoisting of “Tricolor”
by Shri Pradeep Mukherjee, the President, Jagat Taran Education Society and it was followed by the
melodious rendition of the National Anthem.

The President Shri Pradeep Mukherjee addressed the gathering. He instilled and charged the
gathering with patriotic passion and good zeal through his exhilarating speech. He also urged
everyone to take pride in being Indians and fulfilling one’s duty with responsibility. This was followed
by a musical rendition by the school choir singing a mellifluous patriotic song.

An eloquent and inspirational recitation patriotic poem ‘Ek Shaheed Ka Antim Patra’ by Diva
Tripathi of class XII left the audience mesmerized. The loud round of applause bore testimony to the
strong appeal made by the performance.

Gaiety and patriotic fervour found its vent in a gracious dance performance staged by the excellent
dance performance by the school children. The dance performance on the song ‘Main Rahun Ya Na
Rahun’ was a power-packed performance.

Indeed, it was a day of joy that marked the call for the modern generation to keep surging ahead and
work towards empowering everyone to be the harbingers of change. There is no doubt this
celebration will go a long way in generating patriotic mood, promoting love for nation and inspiring
high esteem for the rich cultural diversity of our country. On this occasion Shri Sanjeev Chanda , the
Secretary, Jagat Taran Education Society, Shri Arindam Ghosh, the Joint Secretary , Shri Shankar
Chatterjee, the treasurer were also present.

The function concluded with the Vote of thanks proposed by the senior Coordinator Ms. Rati Asthana.
