Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School, Prayagraj organized an Inter- Class Just A Minute Competition for the students of classes IX, X , XI & XII on 12 August, 2023 in its auditorium. The competition was organized in two categories- Classes 9 & 10 and Classes 11 & 12.
The competition was adjudged by the two retired teachers of the school Mrs. Nita Sarkar and Mrs. Poornima Khanna, who were the PGTs in Economics & Hindi respectively and the pillars of the institution during their tenure.
The school Principal Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo delivered her welcome address and felicitated the judges with mementos of Adiyogi. The English Literary Club Incharge Mr. Sachin Pandey reminded the participants the rules and regulations of the competition.
It was a great learning experience for the participants as well as the viewers. The competition tested the students’ creativity, presence of mind and command over the language all within a span of a minute. Speakers were asked to deliver an impromptu speech on a given topic with a preparation time of just one minute.
The competition helped the participants display their oratory skills as they spoke empathetically on the allotted topics. It was a platform for the students to showcase their prowess in being good orators, who not just competed with high spirits but also learned a lot from their competitors. The participants spoke on various topics like happiness quotient, discipline, self-control, importance of communication skills etc.

After the competition, the judges also gave their valuable inputs to the participants and told them to get into the habit of reading books in their free time so as to improve upon their skills. The school Principal Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo extolled the spirits of the participants and said that even if some of them did not win, they still exhibited a sense of achievement by playing fair and learning from the other participants. On this occasion, the Senior Coordinator Ms. Rati Asthana, Secondary Section Coordinator Mrs. Shubhra Ghosh, Primary Section Coordinator Mrs. Smita Samaddar were also present.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs. Madhuri Srivastava , the Literary Club In-charge ( Hindi) of the school.
The event culminated with the audience hoping to meet on a similar platform again very soon.
जे.टी.गोल्डेन जुबिली स्कूल प्रयागराज में आशु– भाषण–प्रतियोगिता…..
दिनांक 12 अगस्त 2023 को रवीन्द्रालय–प्रेक्षागृह में कक्षा 9-12 तक के विद्यार्थियों के लिए आशु–भाषण–प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया,जिसमें विद्यार्थियों ने बढ़–चढ़कर हिस्सा लिया। प्रथम पूज्य श्री गणेश–वंदना से कार्यक्रम का आरंभ हुआ।
प्रतियोगिता के निर्णायक–मण्डल की सदस्या श्रीमती पूर्णिमा खन्ना और श्रीमती नीता सरकार का हार्दिक स्वागत करते हुए प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती सुष्मिता कानूनगो ने अपने उद्बोधन में प्रसन्नता व्यक्त करते हुए कहा कि….दोनों ही वरिष्ठ शिक्षकों को बच्चे बहुत ही पसंद करते रहें हैं,दोनो अद्भुत क्षमता की धनी हैं भाषा और भाषण –दोनों में निपुणता रखने वाले निर्णायक सदस्यों की उपस्थिति से हम सब गौरवान्वित हैं।
प्रधानाचार्या सुष्मिता मैम ने विद्यार्थियों का भरपूर उत्साह–वर्धन करते हुए अपनी शुभ भावनायें व्यक्त कीं।प्रधानाचार्या श्रीमती सुष्मिता कानूनगो ने निर्णायक मंडल को स्मृति चिह्न देकर सम्मानित भी किया।
प्रतियोगिता आरंभ से ठीक पहले साहित्यिक व सांस्कृतिक क्लब के प्रभारी श्री सचिन पाण्डेय ने नियमावली की ओर सभी का ध्यान आकर्षित किया।
आशु–भाषण प्रतियोगिता की निर्णायिका श्रीमती पूर्णिमा और श्रीमती नीता सरकार ने महत्वपूर्ण सुझाव देते हुए आशु– भाषण के गुर बताये तथा प्रतिभागियों की सराहना की।

विद्यालय की समन्वयक सुश्री रति अस्थाना,शुभ्रा घोष तथा स्मिता समद्दर ने अपनी उपस्थिति से कार्यक्रम की शोभा बढ़ाई। इस अवसर पर श्वेता मुखर्जी , कृति पाण्डेय सहित अनेक शिक्षकों ने अपना भरपूर सहयोग दिया। मंचन साहित्यिक और सांस्कृतिक क्लब की सभानेत्री कृतिका मुखर्जी और सिमरन गुप्ता ने किया। अंत में राष्ट्र गान से ठीक पहले हिन्दी–क्लब– प्रभारी माधुरी श्रीवास्तव ने सभी को धन्यवाद ज्ञापित किया।
