INTER- SCHOOL INTACH HERTAGE QUIZ – 2023

To create awareness about preserving our rich, natural and cultural heritage, is the pioneering initiative of INTACH (The Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage).

We, at JTGJS have aligned our aim along the same path. It has been our earnest endeavor to inspire young children and encourage them to build a future through an understanding of the past and the present. It is heartening to see the Principal, Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo, focusing on the holistic development of pupils, equipping them to survive in a forever changing world. To protect and preserve India’s heritage, several activities were conducted during the course of the academic year.

Spreading the message of heritage protection, J.T. Golden Jubilee School, under the tutelage of the school Principal Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo, conducted  the Inter – School INTACH Heritage Quiz, Prayagraj Chapter- 2023 in its premises on 30th September, 2023. 128 students hailing from 14 different schools of Prayagraj  participated in this quiz.

Based on both tangible and intangible cultural heritage of Prayagraj and India, the quiz comprised of six  levels i.e. Round – 1( Written MCQ) , Round-2 ( Oral & Buzzer Round) , Round -3 ( Audio Visual ) , Round-4 & 5 (MCQ Buzzer Round ), Round-6 ( Final Round)

Shri Vaibhav Maini INTACH co-convenor  discussed the organization’s activities, while the quiz was beautifully conducted by The Quiz Master Ms. Shruti  Sharma, and Head of Campus Recruitment Training , United Institute of Technology.

After a closely contested preliminary written round, 08 teams advanced to the final first round and at last 03 teams ( LDC Public School Team-B, LDC Public School, Team-C, & Sanskar Public School) made their way into the final round.

After giving a neck to neck fight Shreyansh Tiwari  and Suhani Mishra of LDC Public School             ( Team-B) secured the 1st Position with 90 points , Apoorv Agrawal & Anuradha Kesarwani  of LDC Public School (Team-C) got the second position scoring 70 points  whereas Samriddhi Jaiswal and Aditya Yadav  of Sanskar Public School bagged the third position with 65 points.

Shri  Shambhu Chopra, the Senior Advocate & the  First Convener INTACH , while addressing the audience congratulated the winners and talked about the significance of such programmes. Other dignitaries present includedDr. Jamil Ahmed , Assistant Professor, Department of Ancient History, and Culture and Archaeology, Ishwar Sharan Degree College, Smt. Pooja Gupta Program Coordinator, INTACH & The Director, LDC Public School , Mrs. Gunjan Verma , Principal, Mother Teresa Public School , Shri Nilesh Narayan,  Founder, Holy Waters India Journeys, Shri Anupam Parihar, Co-Convenor, INTACH , Editor of  Saraswati Magazine, a renowned writer , Lecturer in Hindi  Anglo Bengali Inter College.

The event was beautifully compered by Mrs. Madhruri Srivastava and Mrs. Sarita Dube.

The quiz contest successfully culminated with the National Anthem.
