CBSE STORY TELLING COMPETITION Story telling is an art of narrating or unfolding the narratives of a story. It has beenapartofour culture and tradition for centuries or we can say from many civilizations. Storiesteachusabout life, about ourselves and others. Story telling is a unique way for studentstodevelopand understanding, respect and appreciation for other cultures and can promoteapositiveattitude to people from different lands, races and religions. Competitions are the best way to build the confidence in children. Keeping this inmind, JagatTaran Golden Jubilee School conducted the CBSE- Story telling competitionfor studentstoenhance the confidence and speaking skills of the students. This competitionwas dividedin4categories- Category 1 for classes 3 to 5. Category 2 for classes 6 to 8. Category 3 for classes 9 and 10. Category 4 for classes 11 and 12. Many students participated in the competition. The preliminary round took placeon27thJanuary, 2023. The final round was conducted on 31st January, 2023. All thestudentsparticipated in the competition actively and enthusiastically and performed spectacularlywellnarrating their self- narrated stories with awesome enthusiasm, props, actions, voicemodulation and impressive expressions which impressed the judges very muchThe competition was judged by a panel of four judges. The judgement was basedoncreativity,fluency, content delivery, coherence and expression of the children. The competitionwasthoroughly enjoyed by everyone. The little story tellers won everyones heart andwereapplauded. Is reflected the efforts of the children along with the support of their teachers.Theappropriate use of voice modulation and body language enhanced imaginationandexpressions, creative gestures and facial expression. It was a fun- filledandinformativecompetition.
