Rangoli is a traditional form that brightens up an occasion and is believed to be the harbinger of good luck. It is a fabulous hand drawing art, originated in the Indian subcontinent, in which patterns are created on the floor using materials such as colours, diyas, flower petals, glitters etc. It is a way to express imagination. Rangoli Making has been an essential part of Diwali celebrations in our country. Although Diwali is a festival of lights, the Rangoli colours play a big role in bringing out the festive spirit during these celebrations. Therefore, to promote this traditional art form amongst our students , Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School organized an Inter-Class Rangoli-making Competition on the occasion of Deepawali. The competition was held for the students of classes 1 to 12 . Students made creative and colourful Rangolis to initiate a festive ambience in the school. Students participated with great vigour and enthusiasm. They used eco-friendly materials such as, grains, diyas, flowers and coloured sawdust, keeping both, the art form and the tradition, alive. All the classes put in their best efforts and soon the entire atrium was bedecked with exquisitely delightful patterns, unleashing the hidden talents of our students which added to the festive galore. The school Principal Mrs. Sushmita Kanungo lauded the creative talent of students and said that organizing such events help students to remain in close touch with their culture. This Rangoli- making competition motivated the students to perform and outshine in their creative skills and most important, work as a team to bring laurels to their school.

A REPORT ON CAREER COUNSELLING WORKSHOP Date : 17 September,2022 Venue : School Auditorium Attended By : Students of class XI XII Resource Person : Mr. Pradeep Sen Gupta ( XL Education Ltd.) It has rightly been said that the guidance of the parents as well as the teachers can perfectly support a child in the most crucial life changing years of school. It is then imperative that these two pillars meet and understand whats best for their wards. In pursuit of the same, a Career Counselling Workshop was organized by Jagat Taran Golden Jubilee School for students of class XI XII . With a plethora of career options available in the contemporary times, the role of a career counselling session becomes indispensable. The session was conducted by a team of XL Education Ltd. , a recognized brand in the education sector. The workshop gave an insight about how important it was for students of different streams to have a back up plan along with aiming for an admission in IITs and Medical. The session provided us the information about the various branches of engineering and also the colleges apart from IIT and AIIMs that offer these courses. Discussion was held about the variety of options available other than engineering and medicine which were open for all the students, such as law, National Defence Services. students were informed about the changes made in examination and pattern of National Level Examinations. The workshop emphasised on the point that there are various opportunities that are now being availed by science students other than Medical and Engineering. Its the opportune time where students can invest in carrying out their research about exam like SAT, IELTS about courses available in DU and other universities. He apprised the students that there were no advantages or disadvantages of opting those courses, but, they are competitive as a child from any stream could opt for them. The students who were in a state of conundrum asked questions and got the doubts cleared. It was an interactive session in which the career counsellor presented the visuals of various universities.
