The School enjoys an excellent location in the prime area of George Town, Allahabad. It is centrally located within 2-3 kms. of the city railway station,bus stop and main commercial centres.

J.T.Education Society, pioneers and enthusiasts for the cause of girls' Education in the city of Allahabad established the school to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of J.T.Girls Inter College ( the first educational institution established by J.T.E.S. in 1919) and hence the name 'Golden Jubilee School.' The school functioned as a Junior High School recognised by the U.P. Board for a number of years before being affiliated to the CBSE N.Delhi up to secondary level and was subsequently upgraded to +2 level. It is one of the oldest CBSE schools in the city.

For classes I and onwards (age group 6 yrs and above) the CBSE system of education is followed based on the NCERT syllabus. In the interest of overall development of students Art and Craft, Martial Arts, Dance, Music, Computers are also taught.

English is the medium of communication at J.T.G.J. School, and other languages are permitted in the classes specified for second language. In class V a third language "Sanskrit" is introduced.

At + 2 level the school offers an option of Science, Arts and Commerce streams.

At, J.T.G.J. School we follow the CCE pattern (Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation) introduced by the CBSE which serves to measure the childs progress in class. It keeps both teachers and students informed of the areas which need to be revised There are two terminal exams SA I (in Sept) and SA II ( in March) in addition there are four formative Assessments (May,July, Nov, Jan.). Parents are kept informed of their wards' progress through Parent Teacher Meetings. The school usually runs for 6 hrs from Monday to Saturday for class I to III the working hours are restricted to 5 hrs.

Remedial class for slow learners are held after school on Friday.

Normally school timings vary in winter and summer which are duly notified to the parents by issuing circulars. The school observes holidays and vacations which are permitted by the concerned authorities and notified through school Holiday list.

The school provides quality education and also seeks to maintain standards of health and safety for the well being of students. Facilities provided to the students include fully equipped Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths Laboratories. There is also emphasis on development of aesthetic sense in the students; in the light of this committment the school has special dance/music room, open air theatre, auditorium, Art and SUPW room. The library and A V rooms are well stocked with books and CDs to enable the students to enrich and diversify their knowledge. Side by side sports facilities such as Basket ball court, Volley ball court, Table Tennis, Chess and Carrom help to identify and develop the full potential of students.
